These are time times we all yearn to be shed of winter — man and beast! My feeling on the subject is already known. But, consider these cattle on the pasture across the river. They too yearn for green. Look closely and you can see the beginnings of green grass.
Very soon “green up” will arrive in these hills. Already you can see the hue changing in the trees below us on the river island. Soon too, the brown winter pastures will sport their new spring colors and the calves will cavort as their mommas devour the new grass.

Look at this as a time of release. We will allwelcome the changing season. Even the new eaglets on the nest at the end of Rock Eddy look ahead to their coming fledging. Some of the fish, in their ecstasy, may desire to be caught.
